Serenity

I stumbled upon this image in the creek in my own backyard. The framing of the petals and light reflecting amongst the trickling water made it resemble a painting in my mind.

I enhanced the saturation and vibrance, especially of the central leaf to further cement this idea of painted nature rather than bland reality. Too much saturation, though, and the petals would have outshone every other aspect of the image – I had to ensure I was just adjusting the leaf separately. Small details, but it adds to the greater picture.
