Often on my walks I am struck with sudden inspiration. After noticing birds perched in a line on this powerline, I realized I could line up the shot with the moon.

I stood for nearly forty minutes getting different shots of the birds in their fluttering motion until I was satisfied I had exhausted the image’s potential.

The sharp lines and orange lighting against the blue of the sky and the bright white of the moon create a beautiful contrast. Below are more shots from this lovely moment.
